Six

Today my baby girl turned six.

This morning I wrote 700 blog posts in my head about what that fact means to me and how I am feeling about it.

I struggled through it all morning.

After I dropped her off at school it almost swallowed me up.

My baby. A big girl. My littlest. Getting so big.

I came back home and went for a run, fast. And then I sewed her a birthday dress.

And then I felt much better. Happier. Calmer.

We celebrated her birthday with presents, pancakes, candles, cards and shots on her new bow and arrow. She smiled the whole day through. She does that.

She is the brightest, funniest kid. She makes me so happy.

I wish for her so many good and sweet and wonderful things.

I'd love to know what she wished on her candles for herself.

Happy birthday our beautiful Pepper Berry, to the moon and back.

xx

  4. Happy Birthday to beautiful Pepper. It's a gorgeous age, but I am so with you on the emotional front. My youngest is about to turn seven. I don't want time to move forward. I want it to stop, just for a bit, just for me to savour it a little bit longer. Time seems to be going so fast. I think it also means, for me, that if he is getting older, then I must be.....and I don't want my youngest to get to the point where he will start to spread his wings. I'm just not ready. A little bit selfish of me I suppose, but this age they are at is one of the most lovely....so let's both make the most of it as mums!

Have a super rest of a week!

I do read every single comment you leave and appreciate it very much, but I should let you know that I can be a wee bit on the useless side when replying to comments, that's just me, everyday life sometimes gets in the way....so I'll apologise now, just in case.
