My creative space.

My creative space is all over the space this week.

I have been crocheting on trains, at the skate park, while caravan shopping, in my car, in front of the fire at night, at friends' houses, at cafes , at lunch time, and any other moments when I can steal a second to put the hook in, take the yarn over and draw through a loop.

I am working on Amanda's gorgeous poncho pattern.

Since I started reading Amanda's blog last year, I have been hinting to her that I would love to try out her poncho pattern. Imagine my delight when it turned up in my inbox late last week.

I have finished the hood and am working on the poncho bit now.

Thanks so much Amanda. The pattern is perfect.

I am crocheting tiny bear beanies for some new babies.

I still find the sizing of beanies a bit tricky. That top pink one is too small for a doll's head but the other two should fit.

I am working on my Motif A Day Most Days In May.

These are motifs nine and ten from Beyond The Square Crochet Motifs.

And I am about to chop into this gorgeous chocolate brown table cloth to make myself another dress.

  3. oh those bear beanies are so cute! Learning to crochet is on my list of 101 in 1001 but last time I tried I found it really difficult. I'm not sure if it is cause I knit but working with just one hook feels wierd.

i crochet on the bus, on the train, waiting for said public transport, before lectures, during lectures, while eating lunch, while watching tv, while in bed, at friends places...
and i think that's why i love hooking so much, so portable! so much easier to pick up and put down than knitting!

  27. Your frequent frenzied crocheting should motivate me to finish my current (lagging) project so I can get on with the next. Really should.

  28. Perhaps you could donate the top beanie to your local premmie ward? They often hats on the little ones. A friend’s bubba was a really early one and its astounding just how little they are.
And if you happen to accidently make that brown dress just a bit too big for yourself, you could always send it my way. I bet it is going to be divine.

... and ain't crochet the best how it can be taken where ever you go. Tania @ M+E is crocheting at red lights! Brilliant. I think I will be too now... looking forward to my partner's reaction next time we're in the car together.
