The Scooterini is crocheted starting with 18 chain stitches and has an almost pointy top.
The Scooterini was named as such because my girls are OBSESSED with riding their scooters. The Scooterini is crocheted in cotton so it is thin enough to wear under a helmet to keep you warm, but wont overheat you.
I hope you have a great week this week.
Your girls all look gorgeous in their scooterinis! Love them! Thanks so much for recommending me to Attic 24 - genius! x
ReplyDeleteLove the Scooterini, and a cool name also.Wish you a great week too.

ReplyDeleteI love them!! I love red stripes anyway but they look great on your scooterinis. How the heck did you manage to make three of them so quick??
ReplyDeleteWhere's Brenno's scooterini? When you've worked out how to make them for adults, Kate, I'm ready for one. How lucky am I that my birthday's in 24 days time.

ReplyDeleteScooterinis are cool, I love them :D
ReplyDeleteThey look great! I always struggled with getting the right size in beanies - in the end I would knit a hat THEN find the head it would fit!
ReplyDeleteI love these!!! and the name is fab too!
ReplyDeleteI've had loads of problems making beanies that fit...they always look big enough until its time to try it on..then always waaay too small.
Have a nice week.

ReplyDeleteThey look even better in real life!
ReplyDeletewonderful, so cute x
ReplyDeleteSuch a delightful post and the girls look so adorable. My son used to love his scooter too, which was quite an old-fashioned one with big wheels. He used to ride it to school (about one mile) and I used to ride it home and back again to pick him up. He was 10 and I was 40+++, I don't know who really had the most fun :-D! Hope you had a great weekend and thanks for popping by and your lovely comments.
ReplyDeleteJak x
What can I say other than ABSOLUTELY ACE!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cute are those?? And adorable name! Sizing can be a pain...I try to work in the round with increases til the circle is about the size of the crown of whosever head I am working with, then start going down. It really is a trial and error thing. Awesome that you've got a good method going on now :)
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic Kate. Really light and stretchy too. How did you manage that? Are you using ordinairy cotton? My 3 are obsessed with scootering too. Hilarious to watch them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment on my blog yesterday. Really appreciated it :o)
They are awesome, and they all fit! I find it nearly impossible to make one to fit a particular head!!
ReplyDeleteI love scooterins too! great work kate!
ReplyDeleteScooterini....just what I need for horse riding now iSt is getting chilli! They look Fab :-) Do we get a tutorial?? :-)
ReplyDeletehappy week Kate!
ReplyDeletehope you & your gorgeous girls are keeping warm
♥
Your girls look so cute in their Scooterinis..we have a scooter riding obsession going on too :)
ReplyDeletethey look really great! cute girls on scooters too. i like the not over heating under the helmet factor.
ReplyDeletehad started to think about making some hats for my boys. . .
Lurve the scooterini- especially like that it is guaranteed to fit after all that crocheting! My latest beanie attempt for Jem ended both times waaaay to big even for an adult head. Don't quite know why... At least crochet is pretty easy to pull apart and start again....
ReplyDeletethey look fantastic kate. the photos of your clan are gorgeous
