The five of us.
Not a proper holiday, just a couple of days to mark the end of the busy season and the start of the quieter season on the farm.
We've eaten yummy food, drunk lots of coffee, scootered, knitted, op shopped, read, played schools, celebrated Mothers' Day, watched a few episodes of this and played at the beach.

We're going home in the morning. I think I'll leave a little sand in my boots just to remind me.
Looks like you've had a lovely break.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely holiday - hope you are feeling relaxed x
ReplyDeleteps - a late Mothers Day celebration?
We all need a little down time to take stock - and what a lovely way to spend yours!!
ReplyDeleteThe children look like they have had such a lovely time!
ReplyDeleteHope you have had a great break away, even for a short time.x
It actually looks warm-ish.
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a lovely time. X
Sounds wonderful! It's so important to take that time to sit, relax & spend time together without the familiar surroundings of home & the everyday things to do, even if it is just a few days..enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSounds great and good to see you got to spend a little time in the lovely winter sunshine!
ReplyDelete'Cuse the french but shiiiit, did I miss mother's day? I don't recall getting anything and I certainly didn't do anything for my mum. Someone put me out of my misery and tell me Mother's Day hasn't been in the last 2 weeks. Maybe you were referring to it figuratively and not the actually 'Mothers Day' - more like, it's felt like 'mother's day' every day that I've been holidaying with my kids over the school holidays. Beach shots are beautiful by the way and glad to hear you've relaxed. But I'm so confussed.
ReplyDeletelove seeing you guys at the beach. enjoy.
ReplyDeleteOh the beach looks lovely and sounds so relaxing. My MIL lives at Port Arlington and it reminds me of that, wish she wouldnt go on holidays so much so we could pop down and visit the beach too! Enjoy the rest of the school hols!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and putting me at ease - I was sure I'd done Mother's Day but I'm a shocker at remembering dates despite the family wall calendar. So, happy belated Mother's Day to you (should be every day really)and I hope you got spoiled.
ReplyDeletelovely.
ReplyDeletekeeping house is so tiresome, isnt it. (i love a fire, but man its work)...
I'm so pleased you guys you got a bit of break, if anyone deserves it you guys do! Glad it's been a lovely time too and very different to the farm.

ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of going to the beach in winter!!! For starters its less crowded!!!! & there is something truly psecial in your "moments" captured on film!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you've found the headspace to make those important decisions and regroup as a clan. It looks like a gorgeous spot to do so.
ReplyDeleteohh, lucky guys- nice way to unwind:)
ReplyDeletewe were down at Sorrento/Portsea on Saturday dreaming of buying down there- mind you we are 5 min from the beach as it is- but it feels more like holiday mode further south!!
Ahhhhh for a born and bred Bondi girl it looks like heaven to me ... I can smell the salt air and feel the ozone sending my hair curly from here. So thrilled for you to have such a gorgeous time together ~ wonderful bliss. XO.
ReplyDeleteLove the middle daughters outfit! Handmade skirt and crochet beanie? Gorgeous beach shots, looks like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteJust seems like a perfect break.

"Two weeks away it feels like the whole world should've changed
ReplyDeleteBut I'm home now
And things still look the same
I think I'll leave it till tomorrow to unpack
Try to forget for one more night
That I'm back in my flat on the road
Where the cars never stop going through the night
To a life where I can watch sunset
I don't have time
I don't have time"
- Dido
Your post has reminded me of one of my all time favourite songs EVER! Do you know it?
