Miss Pepper is playing with some dodgy coloured play dough.
Lucky Indi. You should have seen my face at the post office the day I picked up the enormous package addressed to Indi and knew it was stuffed full of fabric, pattern and stuffing. Jealous much!
It does make me happy to watch her at it and see how confident she is with the tracing and cutting and sewing and snipping and turning. I can't help but hope she loves this crafty business as much as I do.
I love this pattern. I think all the new babies born this year are going to be getting their very own.
Ravelled here.
I'm going to a fancy girls' dinner tonight. yay!!!!
I'd better go and make these girlies their dinner so I can get outta here on time.
What are you guys up to?
Bye bye. xx
Look how creative all your girls are, it's wonderful. All our playdough is that exact same colour. We should just name that sludgy greeny purply colour 'Playdoh' and be done with it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the dinner! Fancy pants are always a welcome break!

That vest is just beautiful & such a gorgeous colour, LOVE your red cardi too! It's so nice to see your girls at work, what a lovely way to spend a saturday afternoon. Have a brilliant night, sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteI love when kids are passionate about craft...my girl has recently asked me to teach her how to sew and I think I may be more excited than she is at the prospect :)
ReplyDeleteI'm knitting booties at the moment for our little one who hates having anything on his feet.
Enjoy your night out!
Enjoy your girls dinner Kate! Those odd girls evenings out help keep me sane :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm solo parenting this week so no going out for me tonight, but I'm hoping to do a bit of sewing once the kids are in bed, maybe start a new top for myself. And a bit of blog surfing too I dare say ;-)
I think I'm gonna add that pattern for Milo to my Ravelry que as my brother in law and his partner are expecting a little girl this August.
ReplyDeleteMmmm my plans for this weekend are to chillax. Watched our Prince William and Kate get married yesterday which was absolutely wonderful and her dress was amazing. Wish I had popped down to London to celebrate but had plenty of cream cakes and bucks fizz and our own little party anyway.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. x Leah x
Such crafty goodness at your place. A wonderful thing to have taught your children. The ruby red cardigan is going to rock in a big way. I LOVE the colour. Have a great night out x
ReplyDeleteGo IndiGo.
ReplyDeleteYou're fantastic.
And you're my hero.
I love you. xxxxx
Ooh, love the Milo vest! I bought the pattern for my mum to knit for one of my girls, but she gave up and gave the pattern back to me :( Circular knitting is too hard for her. Sadly knitting and I don't get on too well, and sewing is my thing. If you ever want to knit a girly Milo vest, I'd be happy to pay you. Maybe you could do some for your shop?
ReplyDeleteWhat great creativity. Indi must have been very happy receiving her parcel of goodies, cant wait to see how it turns out. Your Milo is absolutely adorable in that color, and I love the cables. Your test knit looks so pretty in the red, reminds me I should photograph mine too. Have a great time at your dinner.
ReplyDeleteYou just know you have to show the painted frog when it's finished! .... and I think your girls sew better than me!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon, your girls look like they're enjoying their craft I think the the crafty business might just rub off on all of them:) Have a great night tonight. xo
ReplyDeleteWith a new niece and a new nephew (and one of my own in the oven) I have been very tempted to attempt a Milo or two! Maybe once I've finished my Tea Leaves.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your girly dinner.
Ha, love the playdough colour, only hours of kneading can create that particular hue.
ReplyDeleteHave fun tonight, i really don't get out enough. I realise that i can go months without head lights, isn't that crazy??
Loving your knitting as always & creative children, doing what they do best. My eldest is about to start sewing at high school, she's excited - at least one of us will learn properly. Love Posie
What a great day - I love happy, quiet productivity :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful evening
xxxCate
Oooh, I love that ruby reg colour! Is that from the Bendigo Mills? I picked us a gorgeous cardi in the op shop yesterday, hand knitted out of the same charcoal I knitted Miss G's poncho - was quite excited!
ReplyDeleteLove to you xo

These photos are just magic. I love it when my girls get creative too :) Hope you've had a great night Kate. Kx
ReplyDeleteWhat a hands on/crafty arvo you had, looks like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThat itty bitty jumper is simply adorable, lucky babies born this year.
Ooo a girly dinner, sounds wonderful, hope you had a ball and were able to kick up your heels a bit :o)
Go Indy. Look forward to seeing her softie!
ReplyDeleteMiddle child and I are working on a 1000 piece puzzle while the youngest annoys her brothers and the oldest helps daddy fixed the telly cabinet that he broke this morning. I am looking forward to a quiet night in front of the telly with some knitting and some wine once they have gone to bed. I must get onto a Milo. They are gorgeous.
Indy is a gem - look at that concentration !!!
ReplyDeleteI remember my kids playing with that exact shade of plyadough...
Loving that dinosaur Miss Pepper has made. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI have that orange flower-y tin! Somewhere... luff that Milo, I wish knitting didn't shit me so much. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat baby outfit is gorgeous. There are going to be a few stylish babes about this year.
ReplyDeleteIndi looks like she is following in mamas footsteps :-)
What a fabulous day :)
ReplyDeleteWowee that creative bug is catchy!! Look at you all go! Have a fun fancy evening. x
ReplyDeleteI'm with Maxabella, all our playdoh is coloured Playdoh as well. Love that you've bred at least one little crafter. She can knit you funky walking frame covers when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely way to spend a Saturday. Hope the rest of your weekend was as good.
ReplyDeleteYour knitting is Rocking!!
