My sister Emily's bestie Emina makes tights!!!!
How cool is that!!!!
They are adorable tights. Spotty and stripey and colourful and so much fun.
The best part is that they are made in Australia. In the very last Australian hosiery factory. I love that.
And the loveliest Emina sent me some tights. And I am super excited. I think they are the perfect solution to these cold, grey wintry days. And they are really comfortable too. I think they are going to be my new winter uniform. I've been wearing the green geometry tights all morning and they are soft and warm and I feel happy every time I look down and see them.
(Imagine farmer Liam's face when he came in for lunch before and found farmer Bren snapping photos of me standing on top of the dresser modeling my new green tights.)
And guess what??
Emina has sent me some tights for you too. I told you she was ace.
I have four pairs for four of you.
Black, mustard or emerald in the cotton geometry tights and red/orange in the dotty.
All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post.
Tell me something. Anything.
I'll draw the winner next Monday.
While you're waiting why don't you check out all Emina's OK OK sites.
OK OK website.
OK OK facebook.
OK OK twitter.
OK OK blog.
OK OK instagram.
And Emily's facebook.
See ya later - stripey tights potata. x

Thanks so much for stopping by...
I do read every single comment you leave and appreciate it very much, but I should let you know that I can be a wee bit on the useless side when replying to comments, that's just me, everyday life sometimes gets in the way....so I'll apologise now, just in case.

I have never won anything in my life, ever. Probably because I almost never enter. But those mustard coloured tights...or the blue ones come to think of it....
ReplyDeleteAhhh, these are adorable! I desperately need a fun splash of colour in my winter wardrobe (in fact I'm seriously considering grabbing myself a pair of the chunky wool over the knee socks).
ReplyDeleteBetween the bright colours and the picture you paint of your photo shoot you have successfully brightened what has to now been a grey, stressful day - thank you!!
can I tell you what great legs you have?! xx Nice tights too!
ReplyDeleteLove them Kate...what a generous giveaway! They look like the perfect solution to a cold, grey day :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing - I live just near the OK OK shop and had no idea! And am loving all the different coloured and patterned tights around this year, they can really brighten up a dreary chilly day :-)
ReplyDeleteOk here goes ... I can't hardly knit, I can't crochet at all, I can't sing or dance, I can't eat seafood and I CAN'T get over how gorgeously funky those tights are!!!! ( especially the geo ones in ANY colour) .. Hope I told you enough
ReplyDeleteI am always looking for tights! These are cool. And I like the packaging. And I like that they are made in the last stocking factory in Australia too.
ReplyDeleteGood on you, and Emina for sharing the tights love.
My thing I will share is; we are having the biggest Olympics lunch tomorrow. And I am making a German Apple Cake!
beautiful tights, dresser, blog & blogger :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteVery cute tights!
ReplyDeleteHmm, something to tell you ... It's Auden's second orientation day at childcare today, and I cried and cried and cried all the way home. He seemed to have a good time there on Friday but leaving him is still excruciating. Yesterday morning he hugged me and said 'I love you' for the first time, and he said it again today. I've been remembering that all morning to get me through until I see his sweet face again this afternoon.
Lovely. I wish farmer Bren would have snapped that picture of farmer Liam's face for you to share. I'm sure it was priceless.
ReplyDeleteooh, love the tights, love your blog! thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI just saw your pic on instagram and HAD to come over and check them out!! I am in LOVE!! We have such limited choice in WA for tights and they are my fave thing to wear!!

ReplyDeleteLove. Yes. Please.
ReplyDeleteOooh, LOVE these tights. And I have the exact same clogs as the legs on the website (although unfortunately not the same legs...)
ReplyDeleteone or other of my kids has been off school sick for 3 weeks
ReplyDeleteI am going mad (or flying to Vanuatu alone)
I think dotty tights might help :-)
Oh my word - how could anyone not be happy in red polkadot tights???? I think I may have found my new winter pick me up!
ReplyDeleteI found a long pair of green and black stripey witches socks and a pair of red and white stripey socks (think Dr Seuss)this week too so it is all about leg-wear at the moment!
I hope your farmer Bren knows just how he makes those of us with unsympathetic husbands swoon when he wears homemade beanies or takes photos of you in outlandish crafty/bloggy situations! My hubby's comment when I showed him Bren's beanie "That man is making the rest of us look bad!" LOL
I just read an old post on my blog of a meme that you did in 2010 - called 8 things.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to resurrect it and get it started again - it's fun to learn about 'old' bloggy friends and meet new bloggers.
Tights, tights, tights, I love tights!!!!
ReplyDeletei like the grey one's. does that make me dull? i seem to live in grey at the moment, maybe i need some colourful tights in my life. hope you are having a great day.
ReplyDeleteHow wicked are those tights! We are flying out to Fiji tomorrow with the whole family, will never get to say that again....haha
ReplyDeleteGetting away from this weather!
Would you believe that I only just fell in love with tights this winter?!? I would do anything as a teen not wear them... Lol... Yay for tights!!
ReplyDeleteXo Steph
I have reconnected with the inner me and my tights this winter...I can't believe I have forgotten to wear them for so long.....how cool to have such colorful fun ones to brighten my day and everyone I met. xx
ReplyDeleteThose are so dang cute, I love Australian made things, probably because i'm made i Australia too!

I love the Mustard coloured ones.
Im off to check out the web site thanks for the link and for the give away...:)
oh, la la!!
ReplyDeletejust what is needed to lift one's spirits on a grey wintry day
Those tights make me wish I was an octopus. I could wear four pairs at once!!
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing lots of tights lately. I don't have any pretty coloured ones like those, though. Mine are all boring black. It would be hard not to smile wearing those tights.
ReplyDeleteoooohhhh.... pick me ... pick me...
ReplyDeletePretty please....
I would so love some local bright tights! :-)
Lovely, lovely tights, it is impossible to feel old in tights I think, and even though my legs tend to look quite like tree trunks in them, I still love wearing tights! i just stay away from mirrors and everything is great! Hope you are staying warm in the bush, it is very chilly down here by the sea! Have a great day, Julie :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, how cute! I only see my sister once or twice a year due to the distance we live apart, however she was here 2 weeks ago and was wearing tights! I loved them and told her I needed to get some too.....
ReplyDeletexxBrenda
Looking very funky with your gorgeous tights there Kate! With tights like this, perhaps I could be a funky Mama too? I'm feeling more like a sleep deprived Mama at the moment... I do believe Miss Emerson has started teething. Someone say it isn't so.
ReplyDelete:)
Those would look fabulous on my grand daughters legs! I had an unexpected day in daylesford today, watched out for you, to no avail!
ReplyDeleteI would love some new tights, the ones I am currently wearing have giant holes up the legs.
ReplyDeletexo
theteachildren@live.com
I only have plain boring black tights that make me feel about 87 years old!!! and they always sag around my ankles!!! I would love to wear colours and smile through winter :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh yummy yummy tights! I love them!
ReplyDeleteI sometimes secretly wish I could run away from my husband and son and live in a garret in Paris... I would never of course, I would miss them awfully... but everyone's got a terrible secret right?
ReplyDeleteOhhh , Those tights.Thay are gorgeous , i would adore to win. Love Susan xxx
ReplyDeleteWow!! I am not a tight wearer but my friend who owns the wool shop is and she has some of the most funky tights I have ever seen. She lost her Mum last week and these would help brighten some pretty glum days at the moment.
ReplyDeleteYour green ones are great. Have a great week. I am babysitting the wool shop on Tuesday and have just cast on your beanie hat, I'll let you know how it goes.
C x
They are so fabulous, just want I need to brighten up my winter wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteWow they looks fantastic, off to check them out now
ReplyDeleteThe tights are gorgeous - would definitely make the cold winter more bearable!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic colors and prints Kate. Those green ones look fantastic, just perfect for winter time. I think I may need some to brighten up my wardrobe too.
ReplyDeleteThose tights are ace! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I love tights and I'm really loving these tights too!! These look fabulous and I'll be scooting over to her website to have a look as soon as I've finished typing here! ;) Hmm... what can I tell you... my baby girl got braces today, which is kind of good and bad all at once I guess. But one of the good things is that we've got it done on a barter exchange, isn't that cool? Her orthodontist is getting (a few) specs and she gets her teeth straightened! Everyone's happy :) Makes me think about if we lived in a bartering economy and how that would be. I guess that would mean that everyone would have to make something or have some skill on offer, which is a really cool thought too :) Have a great night, Kate. Kx
ReplyDeleteThese tights are so cute it hurts!
ReplyDeletei have been having saggy tight issues all day today -.- these tights look ace!♡
ReplyDelete(and my niece's name is Emina ^.^)
I am knitting my daughter (14yo) a beanie with deer antlers from Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/deer-with-little-antlers-hat. For the inner ear, I am using some left over self patterning wool in pink, cream and lilac. Will be very cute by the time I am finished.
ReplyDeleteShe was looking for tights on the weekend to complete her outfit but didn't find any that were 'just right', so I'll have a look on the OK OK website for her.
Oh they are gorgeous and what a wonderful way to brighten these dreary winters days.....
ReplyDeleteCheers Can
Nice shoes Miss Green geometry! xx
ReplyDeleteAdorable tights for mummies who like patchwork skirts and mary jane shoes . . .making pasta, drinking tea and watching my daughter play in the garden and loving your tights...great link!! x x xRebecca
ReplyDeleteLove the tights - especially the green ones. They just fly in the face of conformist office wear. Would love to swish down the hospital corridor in those!!
ReplyDeleteLiz
My 18 year old daughter told me that she is moving out at the end of the month to share a house with some lovely girls, she is soo excited and I am soo sad :-( .The tights are beautiful, I would love some to cheer me up, especially the geo ones in any colour.
ReplyDeletehmmm - I like tights?! :)
ReplyDeleteI have been eying these tights at spacebar gallery in hobart but I'm jobless and penniless! lovely tights, lovely and lucky girl xx
ReplyDeleteI´m returning to work next week after 5,5 years of being home with my little ones. So i REALLY need new clothes. These would be so cool (and maybe i would cheer up a little bit ;)! Geo tights in green or black are my favorites. Now i´m off to see her blog. Warm regards from Finland!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute tights!
ReplyDeletePerfect to spread some winter cheer around!!
I desperatly want to have ladybug legs! Or stripey legs! Colourful legs YAY!!
ReplyDeleteI really need new tights right now...it's raining, cold and very dreary. Things would look so much better with something snazzy on the legs.
ReplyDeleteI really need new tights right now...it's raining, cold and very dreary. Things would look so much better with something snazzy on the legs.
ReplyDeleteEek - love them and thanks for the heads up, will head on over and check them out. It's going to be cold in Tassie for awhile yet :)
ReplyDeleteYay for Australian made tights!
Have had a tiring day at the beginning of my third week of my FINAL teaching prac! It was a good day though. I got to run around with the kids and play hockey, watch some short films that another class had made, teach the kids about biographies and the artist Jeffrey Smart... but now I am pooped and I'm at home and have to do the dishes and cook tea and get started on a horrible assignment. Woe is me :)First world problems I know...
ReplyDeleteMy niece would love these!
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI love your Instagram pics, and now that I'm on your blog I must linger to discover more! Tights are a girls best friend. Often they give me the confidence to get out the door, just because I have fun coloured legs for the day! So needless to say, I'd love some new tights!
Mim
Hello, this is the first time I am invited to a giveaway but these tights are too good so I'm starting ... Thank you for your blog which is a big inspiration for me and my family. I live in France and we enjoy the beautiful day here ... Next Monday I will be on holiday in Britain but I would see the results of the giveaway at the end of the month. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteThey are the coolest tights I have ever seen in my life.
ReplyDeleteI would totally wear these every day.
Yay to a new uniform!
ReplyDeleteI'm very tired of my jeans!!!!
Excellent tights & thanks for the chance to get some.
I hadn't worn a dress in years and because of all the lovely knits around I couldn't resist, love to pair the knits with colourful tights and get myself out of the winter blues. Thanks to you and your sister!
ReplyDeleteSome tights would extend my winter wardrobe somewhat. I am post pregnancy and am still limited to only 2 pairs of long pants and one long skirt. With tights I might be able to wear a few of my skirts and dresses.
ReplyDeleteToday I have been assembling a cardigan I finished crocheting several weeks ago. Tomorrow I will be able to keep snuggly in this chilly weather wrapped in one of my own creations!
xXx Helen
Holy cow they are gorgeous! Loving the shoes also, may I ask what brand they are?
ReplyDeleteOk 1 thing - I have just finished a crochet blanket that has been 2 years and 3 house moves (interstate for the last one) in the making. It is beautiful and I will be sad to see it go, but it is going to a very good home where it will be loved so not all bad.
My wife could really do with a pair of these! They would help brighten up a cold and windy Wellington!
ReplyDeleteSteve
I love the stripes , very Pippi Longstocking :)
ReplyDeleteoh so gorgeous, I'm just embracing my inner girl and starting to wear skirts and tights. Is 43 too old to begin being a girl?
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance
cheers Kate
Oh oh oh love the greens! With my little denim dress :-) :-)
ReplyDeleteI used to wear tights all the time to work, but I tend to wear jeans or cords at home with my little boys. If I had these though, I would have to reassess the situation. I love them, even moreso for having been made in Australia. Go team.
ReplyDeleteInspired by your last giveaway... Today, I borrowed a book from the library on how to knit, purchased some wool and my first pair of needles and away I go!
ReplyDelete+ + love love the OK OK tights.
From a lousy day with hospital appointments your tights have brightened my day! Cute as.
ReplyDeleteLove the stripey ones - so cute!
ReplyDeleteI live in Daylesford - We moved here in April - I have seen you walking near the school with pepper and I have been too chicken to call out *hey Kate* and start a conversation with you. Maybe if I win a pair of tights we could meet for a coffee and a chat? Maybe if I don't win we could still meet for a coffee and a chat??
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, orange spotty tights would be AWESOME!! I've commented about tights but I'll tell you something too. I made risotto tonight for dinner, the third one I've made ever and it turned out ACE. What an achievement, 'cos I didn't think I'd ever be able to.
ReplyDeleteHave a fab evening,
Anne xx
I have a pair of mustard dotty ones and they DO make me smile every time I look down at my legs!! It's so great to support local companies, especially when they make such cheery garb! You have inspired me to actually follow a knitting pattern this winter - I might even try something with sleeves!! But first a set of round needles so I can knit my own Builder Dave a gorgeous beanie!!!
ReplyDeleteOh those emerald tights are gorgeous! I don't know if this giveaway is open outside of Australia. But either way, I haven't worn tights in ages. It's just too hot where I am (Saudi Arabia). But since we'll be moving to North Africa soon, where the winters can get cold, I think tights will have to make a comeback in my wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteDo not enter me! BUT I just wanted to say how positively excellent it is that they are made here & in the only hosiery factory...VERY COOL. x
ReplyDeleteYour lovely blog entertains me, inspires me, and makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteTruly scrumptious ! I could wear them while I'm throwing on my potters wheel & have ladybird legs !! Yay ! LOVE ye red spotty ones !!!
ReplyDeleteI think my old favourite pair of tights are on their last legs... geddit?
ReplyDeleteCool tights, cool blog. Love the knitting and crafty posts, thanks!
ReplyDeleteHiya Kate
ReplyDeleteI would ruly, truly love to win a pair of tights, 'cause I'm working on a new "me"!!!!!! I'm layering up, and looking out for the perfect pair of boots and groovy OK OK tights would be just the thing to finish the look (oh, and a new "do" at the hairdresser, 'cause I'm tired of just long and straight hair!!) Spring must be just around the corner ... : -)
I ride a Vespa scooter to work and I would love to be whizzing around the streets of Briz in the wee hours with those orange and black dotty tights. melx
ReplyDeleteLove that the tights are Australian made! Thanks for sharing. Off to check out the various OK OK sites now. xx
ReplyDeleteWow those tights are gorgeous... Just what everyone needs to brighten things in the depth of winter!
ReplyDeleteKaren dot McNeil at optusnet dot com dot au
Aaarrgghhh! Tights! I love tights. I just went on the OK site and found SOCKS too. Too much goodness!
ReplyDeleteSo I am in the United States, and Fall is around the corner. I have just started working at a ChildCare Center with 16 two year olds and I can't think of anything that will make them smile more, than for me to come walking in on a chilly Fall day with happy legs covered in a pair of these lovelies. Two year old girls have the happiest, most fun clothes, and I would be able to have happy, fun tights if I were lucky enough to win a pair of these!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a very happy week:)
xx
Debbie
oh wow they look like the fabbest of tights!
ReplyDeletemy something to tell is that my brother is helping me with photoshop. he's making pretty blog bits for me! what a legend he is!
hope your night is cozy and warm and going swell!
xo
I picked up these tights in a store in my local area recently, and thought I really wanted them but then ummed and ahhed too long, then just stupidly walked out tightless, boo hoo.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous! I have a cold and am trying to do maths, but my head feels like it's full of cottonwool... so I'm catching up on blogs instead - and I'm glad I did!
ReplyDeleteAlso, had no idea that Emily was your sister! I remember seeing her play here in Hobart many years ago.. she was great :)
DeleteThanks for the chance to win, plus if I dont't, I now know where to purchase
ReplyDeletean Aussie made product. Thanks from the cold South-West of WA
YUM!!!
ReplyDeletehmmm, something? I started following your blog when you and your family were in the north of WA. I read your blog because you inspire me to live my life more consciously, and simply. Thanks Kathryn
ReplyDeleteWow, those are the most gorgeous tights I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteWhile reading this post my 18 year old leaned over my shoulder and exclaimed " Ohhh those tights are sooo cute, If I could have have a pair of those I would love you forever mum!" Well if that's a promise, then I guess I should try to win some...
ReplyDeleteThey are fantastic! Great giveaway. Thankyou...
ReplyDeleteLet me win these tights and I'll make you some cookies.
ReplyDeleteI'm serious.
Love,
Mel
miuandumi.blogspot.com
These tights look amazing! I would be so excited to own a pair of my very own!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is one of my faves, your pictures are amazing and I think you have created such a beautiful life for your family, it makes me want to live on a farm and grow beautiful organic things to eat.
Pippi long stocking stories were some of my favorites when I was younger. Bright patterned tights always make me think of pippi. I only have boys of my own but one day hope to have a granddaughter to share those stories with and to buy groovy tights for.
ReplyDeleteI was just saying yesterday that I hate that our small town does not have any colourful tights at all. Nothing. All boring black. And my brief trip to the big city last month didn't leave me with enough time to visit all the good shops to find any colourful tights. And I NEED me some colourful tights (I do have some pink ones, and some purple ones from long long ago and I love wearing them). But oh my oh my - those spotty lady beetle tights are too too TOO good. I love them. I want to win them. Oh yes I do.
ReplyDeleteSomething to tell you - what..... Things. I crocheted a funny little shape today, that was to be a rock cover, but I realise the rock has glorious black crystals in it - collected from the beach. And I couldn't crochet over that. And something else today - we cut and removed lots and lots of horrible lantana, but our path is almost finished and then we can have electricity cabling laid, and then we can finally have power in this little shack of ours. (oh sewing machine....).
Have a lovely week Miss Kate xx
ps - I love that your Farmer Boy was taking photos of your tights, while you were standing on the dresser. These partners-to-bloggers are patient with us, aren't they!
oh wow pls pick ((me)) and i can avoid cutting down the old growth forest on my legs just a little bit longer:))
ReplyDeleteSomething to share-winter is my favourite season because it means you can wear wonderful layers starting with some funky, fun tights just like these!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous tights! I think the green ones are definitely my favourites :O)xx
ReplyDeleteI would love a pair of these lovely tights when i get back to my teacherwork in august. Mayby they can cher me up on a dark autumn day here in Sweden.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is wonderful and i enjoy it wery much.
From Sophi in Sweden
Wow, those are beautiful! Saw them on instagram and wandered over to your blog. These tights would make a boring skirt awesome again!
ReplyDeleteThese tights are awesome! I'm going to have to check them out, because I have been trying very hard to find australian made hosiery.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to make a cold grey day a happy one !
ReplyDeleteLorraine McNeair by email
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhaaaaaaaa
ReplyDeleteThey are great....Australian made......YAH
Those green beauties match your green crotchet ric-rac (on my screen anyways!)
Oh my goodie goodness....these are totally rad and I would love some!
ReplyDeleteI can totally imagine Farmer Liam's face! Haha. And I don't even know what Farmer Liam even looks like!!!
ReplyDeleteI was going to out myself in the last post but didn't want wool, and though I don't often win stuff, I could bet you anything that I'd win just that which I did not want. I've this year discovered that I am not a knitter (I'm a third of the way through a sock, and I don't think I'm going any further). I am, however, a sewer, crafter and dreamer. Been reading you since midway through your caravan journey and stayed for the farm, the Aga-like stove and the dreams of ditching Melbourne city for somewhere near Daylesford...
ReplyDeleteThese tights look awesome. Though I might just go buy some of my own rather than hoping to win!
I love reading your blog, Daylesford is such a long way from West Wales where I live, but I feel as if I know it well!
ReplyDelete(Love the tights, too...)
Pam
Feeling very frumpy these days. Maternity clothes make me look like I'm still pregnant, and normal clothes make me look all lumpy. If I could just squeeze into a pair of those tights...maybe I'd feel a little bit better! xK
ReplyDeleteI Love your blog. Beautiful tights!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, they are all the fun that the little ones get, only for mummies! loving the ladybirds.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the tights! How hip and how fun! What a great way to celebrate color during the winter... right now we're looking forward to winter as everything is a little hot and wilted! =)
ReplyDeleteOh Kate - I LOOOOOVE these & oh,(*$%#CRASH*&%$#) did you just hear that??? I actually fainted at the thought of wearing them!! And oh please, I despise deforesting my legs in winter (it's insulation) & could do with something to bejazzle my little stumpy legs!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are so so cool! I need new tights after losing so much weight since last winter all mine fall down! P.S. I can imagine the strange looks being caught photographing on top of the dresser!! :p
ReplyDeleteLove the tights,my legs are sooo cold this winter! Kaye
ReplyDeleteI adore those tights, my teenage daughter keeps wearing mine, she would just love these.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, so inspirational. Deborah Clark
Great tights, especially the green ones! The funny things we do to get a pictures for our blogs....I once got my hubby to help me dress a sheep with a hat and hold it still enough to tale a pic! I would love to be entered to your giveaway, but you don't say whether it's just your neck of the woods, i'm from the UK so not so close!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! I love wearing tights and these are so pretty. Thank you for the generous giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThese would be perfect disguise for my hairy legs. I am having a competition with my friend to see who can have the hairiest legs. I think I am winning!
ReplyDeletePrue
Love the name of the tights and that they are cheery on those grey days, something that would cheer me up being a fellow antipodean living in the UK xox Thanks to Emina and you for this fun give away xox Penelope
ReplyDeleteFun tights are the best!!! Love them! But not sure if you'll ship to the US...hope so! :)
ReplyDeletewhat cool tights. And made is Australia too! I like the orange polka dot ones. Which would so go with the orange cardy I'm wearing today.
ReplyDeleteawesome tights! love that print, especially in the mustard color!
ReplyDeletep.s. love that you stand on the dresser to take photos :)
ambjer (at) gmail (dot) com
I was planing on searching for aussie made tights - thanks for saving me the effort :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing the same black woolen tights for around three years. The've had holes in them and I simply sew them up roughly on the sewing machine (I'd love to learn how to darn one day). So I REALLY need some new tights. Off to check out her shop. I like the emerald ones ;-)
They are super cool tights. I can just imagine the look on Farmer Liam's face as he walked in and saw the photo shoot. Does it make me weird to think that standing on a dresser to have good photos taken seems quite normal???? Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteI love tights and think the muted tones of these are the perfect punch of pizazz for me. and made in australia - fantastic.
ReplyDeleteCarol
They are gorgeous! And aussie made - even better :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! They are quite lovely indeed!!! I'm pondering a pair myself. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteI love these tights! I love that they are made in Australia too! Those emerald green ones are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your knitting inspiration too - I'm back into it now after your words of encouragement.
Yasmin :)
EEE! Gorgeous!! And that they are made here in Aust makes me very proud. LOve a local story. Much luck and fortune to her.
ReplyDeleteLove these tights thanks for the tip... love to support Oz product. They look really warm to.
ReplyDeleteI wear OKOK tights all the time, they are the only ones that don't sag in the crotch! That is vitally important for decorum and general wellbeing.
ReplyDeleteYay for Brunswick tights and locally made textiles!
What fabulous tights - love the black and green geometric ones. Have spent the morning being a kitchen goddess - made anzac biscuits and sweet spicy pumpkin muffins for my cherubs. Hopefully you would post to NZ if I was a lucky winner.
ReplyDeleteAwesome tights! Love them. Ok, I'm going to tell you something now.... are you ready... it's king of embarrassing... Up until about eight years ago, I thought New Zealand was located where Papua New Guinea is... I didn't understand why it was so cold there when they were closer to the equator than us! Luckily, I am now married to a cartographer....
ReplyDeleteOff to check out Emina's website. These are seriously cool tights!
ReplyDeletePics on tables, sideboards, chairs.... my kids don't bat an eyelid anymore. Though others find it a bit odd :) xx
Beautiful, beautiful colour for winter :0
ReplyDeleteHow cool are they!!!
ReplyDeleteSo going to check out the website!! Hoping they come in xxl, as my long legs (ha ha) have trouble with anything smaller!! I dislike tights when the crotch ends up down around your knees!! (or is that just me??)
Thankyou for your lovely blog. I love reading about your farmlife! I do crochet, but now more than ever, i want to learn to knit too! I want to be able to teach my daughters when they get bigger! :o)
ReplyDeleteThese tights look great! I've only recently ventured into coloured tights territory (aside from a short foray in the early 90s) and patterned coloured tights must be the next step.
ReplyDeleteI have only ever worn black tights. It might be time to start wearing those cool colours. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteAwesome tights! My last pair from last winter got a ladder on the weekend, so I am searching out a few new pairs :) Today I am drinking cinnamon an,d apple tea and knitting for the first time in about a year!! woot woot! Thanks to inspiration from your wool show posts :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. Fun tights for adults. I would love a pair.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway. I particularly love the navy and yellow pairs of geometry tights, tights are a must here in chilly Hobart. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeletemmmmmm cosy knees x
ReplyDeleteOoh! I would love a pair of these! I could cosy up with my new cardigan I knotted for myself!!
ReplyDeleteoopS! KNITTED! Not Knotted! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteOoh, they look divine! I'd love a new pair of tights. Somehheel wearing a cheeky pair of cute tights makes me feel more confident or brave, if you know what I mean!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me SO happy to hear about tights made in Australia, in the very last place that makes them. Amazing!!
ReplyDeleteWe are going to NZ on Monday so I have had tights on the brain. It will be a bit of a family-visiting, street wandering, snowy, snuggly time and I'm excited!
Thanks to lovely Emina for getting some of these fun gems to you.
x
melania
oohh! i love ok ok tights! in fact, I have an obsession with them
ReplyDeleteWow she MAKES them? Ah-mazing! They're adorable! I'm an Aussie living in Germany at the moment so would love them to keep me warm in this oh-so-cold country!
ReplyDeleteI would feel like a ladybird in those spots. I love them. Just read the leek blog. I plant leek each year and let many go to seed. Last year I left them in the ground and spray painted them orange. They looked great and confused many.
ReplyDeleteI am a glass blower and this week i started my pay the rent job in retail because it is hard to make a full time living. it makes me sad, retail is not particuarly good for the soul. its also the catch 22 of i should be doing my art, but i need to make the clams. but then i read your blog and it makes me wanna be more awesome. does that make sense? probably not but thanks!
ReplyDeleteI made it my mission to expand my winter wardrobe with outfits that would go with tights! They make winter fun!
ReplyDeleteAustralian made tights - I didn't know there was such a thing! I wear tights to work nearly every day in the colder months. I wonder what they would think of emerald green tights at work?!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of wearing such beautiful tights made in Australia. If I don't win a pair, I'll be buying a pair of the gorgeous green ones.
ReplyDeleteLove tights - living in Melbourne it's a must to wear tights, with clogs whilst clip clopping down little lanes. Love that they are Oz-made - delightful. Bless....

ReplyDeleteOooh, Aussie tights - perfect!! And I have just found a pair of perfectly fitting boots so a great way to get the legs out this winter!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! I had a birthday last week and was sent a pair of these gorgeous tights in the mail...all the way to Germany! I love promoting great Australian made goods overseas and would love another pair to get me through our cold Hamburg winters! Thank you Kate for sharing these amazing tights with your lovely readers and a big thank you to Emina for putting such a lovely product into the world for us all to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaay tights! These are so cute! <3
ReplyDeleteTell you something ... mmmm .... today when my kids where at school / kinder I took (ok stole) lollies and chocolate from their stashes for me to eat tonight when they go to bed. Meanie - maybe, but I figure I am helping them out by making sure they eat healthy, that's right isn't it???

And something not in black in adult sizes...i hope these make it over the ditch to NZ soon, she's totally got a niche in the market filled there...send 'em over! Australian made is next best to NZ made right? Keeping it local as we can hereabouts. ----and i love the image of your man coming home to you on the dresser with camera in hand and green geometric legs! x

ReplyDeleteMe to student: 'What do you want to be when you grow up Julian?'
Julian to me: 'Something red!'.
It makes me smile everytime I think of it.
I love OK tights and my kids love it when I wear them too. They call them 'your happy legs'
Happy from the outside in. Can't get better than that!
I can tell you that my baby boy put a hole in my favourite tights with his toenail last week! Also, that these tights are more than ok, love the green ones especially :)

DeleteHi Kate, I love your blog and find myself heading off to the computer regularly for an update. Your blog is so inspiring, the idea of living a life that puts your family front and centre, with some crafty fun thrown is so nice. I don't have a blog though so hope that I am still able to enter the great OK OK giveaway?? Thanks for continuing to inspire, AJ x
ReplyDeletep.s. My 3 yr old and I have become Op Shop Addicts, we have found the most amazing treasures in recent weeks...yesterday a stash of fabrics and a vintage sewing book, sewing is a newly found hobby and I am amazed at how soothing it is to hear the sound of the machine stitching life in to a new creation.
Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! I don't think I have ever seen such awesome tights! (i do live in a lil ol' town in NZ lol) I think I have been missing out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this post I was so excited. l've been keeping my eyes out for coloured tights but to no avail. I love anything with spots so the spotty ones of course caught my eye. your blog is such an inspiration to me thanks xx Kylie
ReplyDeleteHi Kate, I'm a tragic lurker but have come out of lurkdom to comment how great these tights are! Would be wonderful and warm for winter.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, to brighten up a winter's day, love the green ones...and orange too!
ReplyDeleteI'll tell ya something.... I love these tights.
ReplyDeleteAlso, cos I feel I should come up with something else to tell you... I heard this proverb the other day and it made me stop and think:
Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are. ~Chinese Proverb
Now... I really can't remember where I read it... somewhere "down the rabbit hole", I hope it wasn't on your blog! But I don't think so.....
xx
I haven't worn tights since having kids but now that's done I'm keen to get back into them.
ReplyDeleteOooooh, I have just spent the last half an hr on the OKOK site, drooling. Now I know how I will snazz up all my old boring drab winter outfits. I especially love the black and mustard geometric ones. Thanks, Kate, for the intro to this fab Aussie brand!!!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I am so over winter at this point. I have been trying to wear brighter colours to pull me out of the doldrums, but realised I don't have any! I seriously need a wardrobe enhancement and these tights would be the perfect start. I love your blog, thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI've just made a glorious winter stew with parsnip and potato mash, and tomorrow I'm planning on a chocolate loaf and some chocolate eclairs. And once I've left this comment, I'm going to find out about making yoghurt and cream cheese.... You said to tell you anything :-)
ReplyDeleteCoolest tights for the southern hemisphere´s winter... or for London´s "summer"...!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog! Thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteSusan
Love your blog and the tights! Thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteLove these! Just what I've been looking for!
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to wait to see if I win - I'm ordering some NOW!!
I totally need some new tights but everytime I think to buy some I talk myself out of it ("Where are they made?" "will they last?" "do I really need them?"). These tights are awesome and being Aussie made makes me feel much better about buying and wearing them. I'd love to be a winner but I think I'll end up over at their website regardless. Thanks!
