our farm gate stall!
Our farm gate stall is one week old!
Sitting at the very front of our farm, built by our friend Jobbo - @thebuilderrecycles - made entirely from timber and tin found around our property, it is exactly what we had hoped for.
I can't tell you how much it pleases me to know that the apples we've been picking are going straight into the shopping bags of our lovely customers. There are no trucks, no cold-stores, no middle-men, no retail markups - just fruit and vegetables and flowers grown here, picked by us, certified organic and DELICIOUS!!!!!
I feel so very grateful for the support we have been shown so far. I love that Miss Pepper's BPOD (best part of day) each day is collecting the money from the tin. And I feel like this little farm stall is something we have spoken of and wondered about for so many years and now she's here - and isn't she gorgeous!!
If you are local, if you are passing by or if you've been dreaming of a day-trip to our lovely area - please pop by. We are Daylesford Organics - 19 Foxs Lane Musvale.
(That's not our postal address though.)
But speaking of postal addresses Reannon and Nell please email me yours so I can make and send you your cupcake motifs, yay!!
And to everyone else - I hope you find kindness and generosity when you share your dreams with the world.
Love ya's!
xx

I do read every single comment you leave and appreciate it very much, but I should let you know that I can be a wee bit on the useless side when replying to comments, that's just me, everyday life sometimes gets in the way....so I'll apologise now, just in case.

ReplyDeleteOh Kate thank you so much! I picked up a little stick on diamonte "B" for Briony's ornament too so now it will be double special. You have just brought a smile to the face of my 10 year old (and her Mummy!) I just put my email in the subscriptions spot - is that alright? Otherwise how do I email you? Thank you! And the stall looks wonderful and makes me wish we lived just down the road!

It looks fantastic!!! The only negative is you aren't closer :( good luck!!! Jan x
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful. Makes me wish I was local, but NZ is a wee bit far to go for fresh produce ( I live in the USA)!
ReplyDeleteThe stall is fantastic, how lovely to be able to sell your own home grown produce. I hope all goes well. Sharon x
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful!!! We had four inches of snow this morning- I miss the sunshine and the crunchy first bite of a fresh-picked apple. Loving your posts, Kate! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBest looking farm gate! Love it Kate and we'll be back again soon x
ReplyDeleteKate she is stunning! I love her! I want to drive all the way from Beechworth to Daylesford just to see her. Now, you need to start a IG hashtag so everyone that comes can take a snap and share her beautifulness to the world xx
ReplyDeleteThe beauty spills over from your hearts into your hands and into our lives via this glorious internet. I would so love to be eating an apple that you had grown... I can taste the crispy crunch !~!
ReplyDeleteYour stand is the best-looking fruit structure I have seen in ages and totally recycled makes it all the more delightful to the eye and to the earth.
NZ must be an amazing place; my primary care doctor has come to your stunning land for a six-month sabbatical from northern California. She brought her family, musician hubby and two under-10 kids for the adventure--cannot wait to hear the stories come next fall when she returns to our side of the globe.
AGG! The frustration of lovin' on bloggers in different countries than your own! I want to see Lucy's (Attic 24) studio and have a cup of tea downstairs. Now I want to stop by your stand and eat a wonderful apple or pear! Especially since it is winter winter winter here in beautiful West Michigan. You know how they make charts that show the average highs and lows and then the actual highs and lows for a certain number of days? The average and the actual lines are so far apart, it's just not funny! Longing for a little Aussie fall weather, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteso beautiful kate..
ReplyDeleteIt looks just great! Wonderful initiative.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stall Kate. You've inspired me to go back to harassing my farmer boy for a farm gate stall to sell our mangoes, avos, limes and passionfruit now!
ReplyDeleteOh yum, they look so fresh and delicious! Wish we had a stall like yours nearby. And the shed is fabulous, you must be so pleased!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully perfect...and may your dreams grow and grow
ReplyDeleteAlexa-asimplelife visiting from Sydney, Australia
