Bren doesn't have a blog. He is very supportive of my new community and source of inspiration but I still think its something you can't really understand unless you are involved yourself.
He has made up a couple of blog related words that he throws around a bit, see what you think.
BLOGUTATION; your blog reputation. How you want the blogging community to see you. What sort of crafter, Mother, person you are. What information you include or omit to get your desired blogutation.
I just thought I'd better own up to the fact that while I was busy crocheting these three flower brooches for a delivery before we left for Melbourne last Friday, Bren made the cupcakes for Pepper's party.
The Vintage Rose Pot Holder is a commission. I crocheted a back for it this time. The hole in the back is where I started to crochet a thumb holder but stopped when I realised that chances are it will be hung on a wall and the thumb bit would make it stick out.
he he he. Bren cracked me up. He's very funny. It's kinda true though isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBren is very knowlegable even though he doesnt have a blog isnt he. Maybe he should create the first blogtionary full of words relating to bloggers, lol! Love your pot holders too. I think it is great that he cooked the cupcakes too, I dont think Paul would do that even though he does like to cook dinner occasionally.
ReplyDeleteI like those words. Especially Blogutation! It's a rather complex thing, really! And a partner who can not only come up with fancy bloggy words AND cook cupcakes - that's someone very special ;-)
ReplyDeleteLoving Bren's blog words!
ReplyDelete'Blogutation' sounds like a take on 'salutation' because we are always sending 'hello's via blog land.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my latest post.
Andi :-)
hehee, I love it! can't get away with anything with Bren around.
ReplyDeleteyou indeed have a lovely blogutation Kate ♥
Oh I love them. Has he got more in store for us?
ReplyDeleteGreat! How about 'blappiness' - a state of euphoria arrived at after reading a particularly thoughtful comment?
ReplyDeleteDoes Bren have a touch of Blog Envy? Lovely to see you and that adorable little sweetie, Pepper, this morning. What a great way to start the day!! Love the potholder. My mum's words when she opened her present.."It's too good to use. I adore it!" I think the beautiful pot holder will shortly be hanging in her kitchen. Thank you so, so much, I love it too. I also love that first photo, how cool do they look all togeter? Gorgeous xo
ReplyDeletehad a little giggle over this!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing this insight :)
beautiful potholders too.
Oh...bugger I thought you were perfect ;) Hey don't we love a fella that can COOK and BAKE at THAT!! Well Done Mr!!
ReplyDeleteOk that's just hilarious. I wonder if we could petition to get Bren's new words added to the Oxford dictionary?
ReplyDeleteNow he's just showing off - what with the very excellent word maker-up-er-ing AND baking. Thoroughly convinced he's suffering from a minor case of blog envy!
ReplyDeleteI was certainly giggling as I read that... love the words - they've certainly been added to my blog lexus.
ReplyDeleteIn regards to the cakes ... I suspect another blie... it was Bren who refused to eat the cup cakes because they were pink - wasn't it? ;)
I love blogutation, I think yours would be pretty good.
ReplyDeleteFor him to pick up on any 'blies' you may or maynot have been telling he must be interested enough in your blog to read it!
Brilliant words and very lovely crocheted flowers too :O)
ReplyDeleteLove the potholders, especially the Xmas coloured ones
ReplyDeleteThe colours on the green/blue/grey flower brooch go so well together, very lovely. I'm loving the WHITE BLIE, very clever.
ReplyDeleteBren is a legend! Very very funny. Ans obviously supportive :) xox
ReplyDeleteCute post Kate and thought provoking... how well do we really know our bloggy friends... and how well do we let them know us?
ReplyDeleteVery true kate, I wonder how much is true real life in some of the blogs I read. My husband Andrew makes all the birthday cakes for our kids, it's his thing, he likes it!!
