This lovely Bebop cardi is what it turned into. The pattern comes from here.
This is the first piece of clothing I have ever crocheted. It was really easy to make with no seams and all familiar stitches.
The only problem is that is doesn't fit the Birthday girl but instead looks really good on her almost two year old sister. Do I have time to make a bigger one by Friday?
I made the flower brooch as a closure but I think it would look great with a big old wooden button too.
Have you entered my giveaway yet?

loved your accidental post! i have more than one blog myself though my test blog is on a separate acount than my primary blog and i'm supposed to be contributing to one my friend started for us both but we haven't had time to tend it these last two months =-( OOPS!
the book written by your mother sounds like a god one -i'm sure it will reach a worldwide audience before you know it!
love the work your children are doing - that pink 'angel' t-shirt is a darling design! great blog!

ReplyDeleteI love this cardi. How satisfying that it fits at least one of your daughters. Thank you for the link to the pattern.
ReplyDeleteI am attempting this pattern since I saw it on your blog, negotiating the bobble stitch though! and trying to find some nice soft cotton instead of wooly wool was tricky today too! Thanks for the inspiration...again!
