Scooterinis.

After struggling with the correct sizing of round and round beanies for ages, I decided it was time to try something new.

The Scooterini was invented after school the other day while sitting on the edge of the skate park.

The Scooterini is crocheted starting with 18 chain stitches and has an almost pointy top.

The Scooterini was named as such because my girls are OBSESSED with riding their scooters. The Scooterini is crocheted in cotton so it is thin enough to wear under a helmet to keep you warm, but wont overheat you.

The Scooterini is also great for walking around the lake,

hanging out on the farm,

and peeling onions.

I hope you have a great week this week.

Inspiration.

Oh inspiration, where for art thou today when I have time to hang out with you?

Why did you keep me up half the night last night whispering sweet words and ideas in my ear?

This morning you helped me rush the girls off to school, promising grand plans for homemade undies, sewing with knit fabric for the first time and taking yesterday's wisteria drawings the next step.

But now we are home and you have disappeared.

You are silent.

I have put the washing away and cleaned the kitchen waiting for you to come back but you are nowhere to be seen.

I don't have much time left, so my plan is to sew a sure thing in order to hear from you. I will sew something I have sewn many times before and then you might come back to visit.

Please hurry, we don't have long before school pick up time.

This dress was sewn while waiting to be inspired to bigger and better things. It was was sewn from an old tea towel, a piece of thrifted fabric and ribbon and a zip from a package I received from the lovely Two Tuesdays.

I hope you find inspiration somewhere in your weekend this weekend.

I can't wait to meet some of you at the Sew It Together dinner tomorrow night.

Name tag swap!

Made by me and sent to Sophie of Her Heart My Hands.

Made by Ms Tinnie Girl, Cathy for me. Yay! How amazing is it!
I'm not sure I can wait til the Sew It Together dinner to wear it though.
Thanks Cathy!

Thanks so much Gypsy for organising the whole swaperama thang. I'm so looking forward to having a drink with you and the other name tag wearers on the night.

Blog land seems full of swaps at the moment.
I think my favourite part of a good swap is how it opens up the blogging community. How it encourages you to get to know the blogger you are creating for and then there is also the relationship formed with another blogger who made you your special gift.

Of course you can't forget the lovely package in the mail either.

I hope you are having a lovely sunny day. XX
