Tattoos, Monsters and Bowls.

It's a hive of activity.

Indi has just finished her godseye and is now finalising the designs for her tattoo shop, Jazzy and Pepper are drawing monsters, there are lots of little pieces of paper being cut up for a raffle and I am making a bobble bowl.

I have just been informed that the prizes for the raffle are 1) private singing lessons with Jazzy, 2) 4 tattoos from Indi's collection and 3) a concert for everyone featuring Indi and Jazzy singing songs from their very own hit album 'sing it!'.

I made these texta rolls for the girls last year and am about to start making some more for the new Lark shop opening in Daylesford soon.

Oh and I just discovered that my prize for the afternoon will be lice combing the girls' hair!

  4. I think kids get lice so their mothers don't have time to answer the question you asked at the end of your last post: How's a girl supposed to raise her children and keep her house in order?

    Indeed.

  5. Arrrrrrrrh, LICE!!! A friend got me on to this. Place 10 drops of tea tree oil in to a water spray bottle and spray the girls hair before they go to school. The smell goes away to us humans but lice apparently hate it. I have had no problems with asha and my friends daughter has super thick long hair and not had a problem yet. Maybe just maybe there is something to it!! Oooh and the bowl, drawings, tats look FANTASTIC!!

  6. Oh what a fun filled afternoon. The bowl looks great and I love the texta roll too. I just made a pencil roll for Isabelle earlier this year although I have no idea where she has it now as it hasnt appeared for a while. I dont envy you one little bit about the head lice either, we had that earlier in the year and I am sure we will again soon. My sister made up a spray for her using some water, lavender oil and ecualyptus oil. Just spray behind the ears and the back of the neck each morning and it seems to deter them.

  7. Sounds like a fun afternoon! I feel like it's an everyday thing for us now, combing, looking etc etc. It gets so that sometimes when one of the kids is crying I'm comforting them but am also scanning their hair for nits. It's a glamourous life xo ps. the sun is out!!!!!!!!!!

Apple doesn't fall far ... as they say.
Hope the lice combing wasn't too traumatic. As I recall, they all have fairly long hair.
