My creative space.

My first creative space for 2010 is all about bunny feet.

There are little attempts at bunny feet all over the house, but none of them seem just right.

After struggling with the worded pattern for ages I have had a go at translating it into a drawn pattern. Bren and his Dad are sitting next to me laughing that this could possibly make any sense.

Let's hope it works better now as this poor little bunny is in desperate need of some feet.

If you think this bunny might find a good home at your place, why don't you come back here on the weekend when I will be auctioning him off with all proceeds going to the Haiti relief effort.

  1. You can't do much hopping without feet now can you? He's looking wonderful.

  2. Awwww, he's going to be soo sweet! I'm sure you'll figure out the feet thing no worries :)

  3. He's gorgeous Kate. Do the feet need to be oversized and elongated do you think?

  4. Oh dear. All crochet is gobbledigook to me so if these feet are stumping YOU they must be fiddly! I have a suggestion: you could always leave poor old bunny footless - surely the extra sympathy generated will raise more $$!!

  5. I'm afraid I'm not much help - I haven't done any 3D crochet yet! I do rather love his tummy though!

  6. Perhaps he got caught in a trap and now has no legs...maybe not! He is looking very cute, no help here with the legs. Can't even cast on lol! xox

  7. I like her tummy too. I'm assuming she is a girl! I don't know how you do that complicated crochet, my mind just spins when I see your pattern/instructions. Can't wait to see the finished bunny, hope you're having a fun day xo

I hate having feet/leg dramas, I agree with Deb, maybe he just needs legs?

mmm, sometimes i get the diagrams and othertimes not ~ it should be more obvious than the written form . . .

  18. I think he/she would be ever so sweet with legs that were made just like the arms. :-) Whatever you decide to do, someone is going to love that bunny!!

  19. It looks like a foreign language to me as well. Or maybe a map of someone's eye. I'm sure his feet will be perfect when he's done. Maybe you should just make up your own pattern for them, you sure look capable of it.

  21. I think your diagramatic translation is a clever idea (Besides do you see your hubby and FIL crocheting better bunny feet? Nope, thought not!)

He's a very cute rabbit and a great thing you're doing, Kate.

  31. Poor footless little bunny! It's much hard to roll than to hop. ;)

I like the idea of abandoned bunny feet scattered all over the place. Good luck!

  32. I love bunny as he is but some long dangly legs could be cute, or how about you try some intuitive crochet feet- without the pattern !! Good luck
