I've decided to quit while I am ahead and wash up. I'm having one of those days. The incessant question asking and chattering and talking in my ear is making it hard to concentrate on anything at all.
While we are on the subject of t'shirts, I'm wanting to get a few silk screens made with our farm logo on them. Does anybody know where I can get screens professionally and permanently made with emulsion and exposure and all that stuff? Somewhere in Australia definitely and somewhere in Ballarat or Melbourne preferably.
Thankyou sooooooooo much Sue for the wonderful package that arrived in the post yesterday. Can you imagine the squealing that went on when my three girls saw all the pink and colourful tulle coming out of the bag? Please tell Isabelle that her old fairy costumes will be well loved, played in, slept in and even cause a tantrum or two when they were forcibly removed at bath time.
And lastly but firstly; A hunormous (Indi's new word) HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful Mum!! I hope that you have had the best day and we'll celebrate with cakes and prezzies when you come back to the mainland in a few weeks. XX
I hope you are having a fabulous day on my Mum's birthday. XX
Hello! For your screen - www.jonespt.com.au - I use them and they do nice work. Nic
ReplyDeleteI just love that wall. I am so envious.
ReplyDeleteI think your tractors all look wonderful. One day I am going to give freezer paper a go for the small boy here.
ReplyDeletelove the pot holder wall, yes Nic is right Jones brothers are supposed to be very good for screens and exposures etc. The tractor print is gorg ;0)
ReplyDeleteanother lovely birthday for your family.
ReplyDeletehope your mum has a fab day ♥
I love that wall too-I love the way things look individually but also the way they are displayed.
ReplyDeleteWishing you happy days for all your family birthdays too!
Annamaria x
THE wall just gets better all the time!
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteThankyou for your lovely message.
Your potholder collection just keeps getting better. To get a shot without the shadows, try lighting with a light or reflection from the side the shadows sit. This way, you should have light coming in from both angles, eliminating any shadows. To reflect you could use a white bedsheet or card, or a mirror.
I do like your tractor design.
Happy birthday to Bren & your mum.
Your wall with the pot holders is looking wonderful Kate! I am glad that the girls like the fairy dresses, just a pity there wasnt 3 of them but I am sure they can take turns sharing them. I hope your tractor prints turn out better next time for you. Happy Birthday to your mum too, it is my sister's birthday today too.
ReplyDeleteHi kate, have discovered your blog and just love your crocheted pot holder wall. The tractors look pretty jolly good too. We are in for a hot weekend here in the North East, I guess you will be too. Best wishes for a crafty, crochety 2010.
ReplyDeleteWell Kitty beat me to it :P...I would use a white sheet or something large like that to reflect the light on the opposite side of the incoming light..They are beautiful regardless of course!!! Grow potholder collection grow....
ReplyDeleteThe tractors are so great. I really need to try this out one day..
Oh and Habby Birthday MUM!! :)
Thank you. I am always doing something. But you have inspired me to make some potholders. I did make the rose pattern that you did in yellow.
ReplyDeleteAre you planning to block your potholders? The more they lay flat on the wall, the less shadows you'll have.
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely!
I am NOT a photographer person but deal with those nasty shadows all the time! Try taking it at night so your flash will kick on (My front room is notorious for shadowy photos because it lets in just enough light to turn off the flash but not enough to make the pic turn out well).. or if you have blinds close them and see if that kicks on the flash?
ReplyDeleteHey it was my mums birthday yesterday ( 8/1) too!!! And my friends mums birthday ( she is THE best cake baker IN THE WORLD). Happy birthday too all our mums. I sent mine a big bunch of pink oriental orchids- her fave. x
ReplyDeleteOh Kate you wall looks soooooooo beautiful!!!
ReplyDeletexo
The wall is gorgeous !
ReplyDeleteOh love your potholder wall...
ReplyDeleteHmmmm thinking that my next post could add to the collection...
Love your screen printing...
I have done some a while ago and it is really tricky...
Oooooh Kate, I just LOVE that potholder wall too! Even more so because I can't crochet. The closet I have come to crochet so far is using a photo of a doily that my Nana made for me as a design for one of my pendants. Learning how to crochet is definitely one of my goals for 2010though, for sure...I've been wanting to learn forever :)
ReplyDeleteFairy costumes! My little girl is 6 and she dearly wants one...another thing I have to make this year. Your bundle looks amazing!
Love your blog :)
Karen xx
And Kate, I think that your screenprints are just wonderful...perfect or not :)
ReplyDeleteKaren xx
parcels in the mail are so very exciting, eh?
ReplyDeleteMy little man is OOOOHHHBsessed with caravans. Are you offering any of those saucy teeshirts for sale in say a size 4?
Wow, ace colours & lovely crochet work Kate. Happy birthday to all those in your family, we have clusters too - like a dozen immediate family members are Aries!! What a lovely life.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the screen printing, deep breath, after a break it will work perfectly again!! As a fellow mummy of 3 girls, gosh they make for a fun school holidays. We do a boy, but he's used to being lumped in with his big sisters. Greetings from Canberra, love Posie
From this angle, those tractors look perfect Kate. And that tulle is derserving of squeals!
ReplyDeleteI don't drop a great deal of responses, but i did a few searching and wound up here "Pot holders, tractors and tulle.". And I actually do have 2 questions for you if it's allright.
ReplyDeleteCould it be only me or does it give the impression like
a few of the responses appear like coming from brain dead folks?
:-P And, if you are writing on other online social sites, I would like to keep up
