The light was all wrong and she was too cold to stay still but I had no control, I kept telling her to turn this way and that and I kept on taking photos.
I can just imagine my kids talking about me one day in the future; Remember how Mum used to make us pose outside in the icy cold wind in all these crazy dresses she used to make out of old curtains and table clothes and doilies! Can you believe she did that to us!
The apron dress was made from vintage fabrics and a doily from the Claire pattern. I really love this dress and have started making up another one in vintage sheet fabrics to see what it looks like.
I hope you have a happy weekend.
Its all about the seven year old birthday Jazzy here.
We are so ready for a bit of a celebration.
Oh what fun!
See ya! XX
I know why you took them, those photos look great!
ReplyDeleteI guess your kids (& those of many bloggers) will have a lot of sympathy for professional models when they grow up !!!
Worth a bit of cold, I'd say! The dress is gorgeous, Miss Pepper is edible, and your photos rock.
ReplyDeleteStunning photographs and that is one marvellous dress. Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteGive Pepper a big warm hug from me.

Sending you much love and thoughts

ReplyDeletejust reminded me of AIdan yesterday when I made him pose with a flower in his hand & after about 5 minutes and a sad look on his face he said "mummy, me not want to do this anymore" he just wanted to play.
but it was good while it lasted.
happy day to you lovely & happy birthday preparations & celebrations to Miss Jazzy.
hugs ♥

ReplyDeleteAnd you know what? The best childhoods are filled with the stories "remember when..." so good on you mum for making those stories happen!
Have a wonderful day planning for Jazzy's bday xox
Oh so sweet and brings back memories of my own daughter. She's 22 now but I'd watch her jump, play and skip as a little girl...I always knew when she was really happy because she would skip with huge almost ridiculous long strides. Your daughter is an absolute sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful dress and child and photo. And a great long lane too by the looks of it. I am a fan of the lane - we live on the end of one!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Pepper looks utterly adorable in that gorgeous dress! I kept thinking of a fairytale for some reason when I saw her in it, how sweet! I do hope that Jazzy has a wonderful sweet birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAZZY. I thought I would let you know that Isabelle's arm has a lot more movement today after squeezing a stress ball and having a good long soak in a very warm shower. It will take a few weeks to get back to proper strength but at least now she can actually move it a lot more thank goodness!
ReplyDeletenever mind all this sewing lark, what about the photography you're so good at it!!! happy birthday jazzy x p.s. make sure you all come on over to tassie in ya caravan :)

She looks so sweet...love the little apron and made out of curtains! Very Sound of Music(in a good way!)
No sorry you did a half pie job. She should have been in one of the trees waving like the kids in The Sound of Music. So funny but such pretty photos. I love your drive! Yes I'm sure they will laugh at you one day, but that's better than saying how boring their lives were. Lovely dress style and so cute.
