I cannot believe that I am considering sewing with this orange trimmed table cloth but somehow this combination looks summery and fun to me today despite my dislike of the colour.
Oh, and I'm also still hooking away at my Softie for Mirabel, knitting my Tea Leaves cardi and my test for Tikki but I haven't got any recent photos of these. I also have a whole pile of projects that will realistically never be finished so I'm not even going there.
I know I should probably stop starting new projects until I finish some of these but that wouldn't be fun now would it?
Over to Kirsty's for some more creativity.
Happy Thursday y'all. XX
Looking forward to see the finished tea leaves cardi!
ReplyDeleteI gave it a shot but it turned out monstrously large!
I love that you crochet your trims! The blue and orange colour combo look great together. You sound like me with all your projects on the go. I tried to challenge myself to finish 5 things before starting any new. I did it but it was hard and like you say, no fun! But it was satisfying to finally finish some projects. Good luck with all on your list today!
ReplyDeleteI love that you have so much going on. I can't really do that because I've got so little space and I work better in a tidy room (can I really be so anal? oh gosh) but I just started a new sewing project today without finishing my latest. You are inspiring to me, now I know it won't kill me!
ReplyDeleteLove those colour combinations. That orange is gorgeous! Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteOrange trim on the blue is a fabulous contrast. You have quite a way with colours.
ReplyDeleteIt's definately more fun to start a new project than finish an old one. Looking forward to seeing what you are doing with a few of these sneaky peeks though so hope you manage to finish a few!
ReplyDeleteI'm so curious as to what you are going to do with the blue table cloth that is trimmed in orange... I might have to have a peek again later :)
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry - I have lots of WIP's too! I've convinced myself that it's normal - almost!
Love a splash of orange trim!! Go the colours, you can get away with anything in Summer. Love Posie
ReplyDeleteLove your crocheted trim and I quite like that orange trimmed blue too!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful trims!
ReplyDeleteYour fabrics have any earthy organic feel to me today. Funny how colours suddenly grow on you. I don't like yellow or orange much, maybe because they were Mum's favourites in the '70s but suddenly I find myself wearing them. Only not quite in the '70s brights. heehee. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and your crocheting trim! And i know just what you mean about starting something new before the last this is fini ..... i do it all the time ....
ReplyDeleteYour orange and blue combo looks so bright and summery. Like the look of the trim on the patchwork as well. Hope you get to enjoy some of this lovely sunny day today :)
ReplyDeleteLovely stuff! I think that the blue saves the orange and together they look beautiful. Enjoy the sunny day.
ReplyDeleteThose sunshiny colours really are heart-singing stuff but it's the first picture that excites me the most. So looking forward to seeing the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteaaargh! I can only see a few of your photos today - i'm on the go slow with exceeding my limit!
ReplyDeleteI will be back next week for a proper squiz!xx
(ps. loved your photo over at MMaM's!)
You are one busy & very creative lady today! Your space looks like heaps of fun, love all those colours & sweet trims..
ReplyDeleteAlways such pretty goings on over here. Though, I am quite shocked 'bout the orange.
ReplyDeleteI've been catching up, how great to have met Pip and other blogger folk.
I love the photo of you and family all dressed in your creations! Pretty amazing.
Such gorgeous photos Kate, all the different textures and colours.
ReplyDeleteLoving your crochet trim and the colour combos. Have a wonderful day xo
Beautiful! Are there more hours in an Australian day than a U.K one? If so, I'm packing my bags right now :)
ReplyDeleteI have three projects on the go at the moment - crochet flowers, Christmas presents and a crochet hexagon blanket, and I am trying really hard not to start anything else until they are finished!! It is difficult though, especially since I brought new fabric at the craft fair...
ReplyDeleteLove all that is happening in your space and agree, that colour combination is not one I would usually think of, but it looks great. :)
Wow! You are really pumping Kate! So many fabulous projects. Have fun :) Kx
ReplyDeleteWay to go Kate! busy busy busy.
ReplyDeleteI think the orange and blue look super together.
I have so many unfinished projects, I must stop starting new ones. It's becoming rather annoying. Argh!!
Mental Note: Must finish projects.
Have a most delightful day.
Alison
love, love the orange trimming! and the white lacy bit in the first photo. so much going on at your place :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your colour sense, and really, where's the fun in slogging through an old project while dreaming of the new and shiny. I'd much rather work on my projects when the desire/inspiration/love returns.
ReplyDeleteSometimes being bold with color like this really makes you see things differently and it is truly wonderful.
ReplyDeletei love that orange and blue!
ReplyDeleteI really like the colour combo in the last pic. It's loud, but it works. It really does.
ReplyDeleteI think that orange against the blue is fabulous, really striking, and I like it tempered with the other pale fabric with orange highlights.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are making a tea leaves cardi too too. You've obviously given up sleeping to fit it all in!
you put all us other pretend crafters to shame :) as always, everything looks delightful!
ReplyDeleteAAHH don't worry about it sometimes we just got to start something new, one or two or more times just to get that rush. I am sure you will finish everything some time.
ReplyDeleteI don't do orange either, but that little bit against the sweet blue is actually really pretty.
ReplyDeleteBlue and Orange always go well together, its a great combo, and I know what you mean with starting new projects before finishing others, ahh but it is so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteRen x
Busy Busy at your place. I have put a stop to starting somehting new (I was getting a little out of control)
ReplyDeleteI know you don't like orange but it is my favourite colour!! Such nice colours together :-)
ReplyDeleteLove all the colour! It must really make your creative space happy :-) And don't you just love having so many things on the go at once...keeps everything exciting I think!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha you DO like ORANGE!
ReplyDeleteAhhh... so your love of orange is going to start with that trim? What will it be next??? You're on a slippery path there Kate!
