Indi asked if they had any chalk and then she and Pepper proceeded to decorate the footpath.
It was fun to watch them draw. It was like the pavement was one great big canvas.
I love the way these two play together, my big and my little. There is never any competition or fighting. Indi is so full of patience and tenderness for her little sister, and Pepper is like her little puppy. Earlier in the week when Pepper was really sick and crying in pain, a few times I looked over to see big fat tears rolling down Indi's cheeks.
I hope you are having a happy Friday!
Wow, it really DOES look like Where The Wild Things Are. How sweet!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! And so good to see pepper better :) Hope you have a wonderful Friday too :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday to you too Missy. Sorry Pep has been a sickie and sending you no-sleep-loopy. I hope the weekend is calmer and offers some rest. Give all the girls a kiss from me and you know who ;o)
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Ab xxxxxxx
That is so sweet, we love a bit of chalk art here!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that Pepper and Indi get along, it must be so nice! Issy said Pepper's outline looks like a bear too!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely. This is how my big and little boys are also...they have a special bond.
ReplyDeleteOh so sweet.
ReplyDeletejust had to let you know a little 'chalk drawing art' story....a lovely lady I know whose husband works away at a gas field happened to be home last year on his actual bithday......their 2 daughters created something really special for him - chalk drawing birthday cakes on their verandah.....the photos of the girls with their dad was so precious-chalk drawings are the BEST!!!!
ReplyDeleteTruly wonderful... children at their best. Fantastic photos. So nice. So fresh. So innocent.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous post Kate - just loved it :) My two girls are like that too (except they can fight like cats and dogs at times too!) I love the Wild Things outline :) Kx

So glad there are smiles now instead of tears. They are so sweet and I love their street art, particularly the ears on Pepper's hat. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment Kate, have a great weekend.
A lovely 'feel good'post Kate. I'm glad Pepper liked her little poem.
ReplyDeleteJak x
So good to see Pepper good again. Funny I was just looking at the word coxsackie yesterday in a book as I tried to figure out a red spotty patch of skin on my boy. But all that aside I wanted to thank you so much for this post because as I struggle to conceive my second child and have all these awful emotional turns about the ever expanding age gap between my existing child and the one that won't happen (4 years and counting)I am going to dry out my hankie and know that big and little can have a very special and tender relationship. Thanks for touching my heart today. xx
ReplyDeleteOh how utterly gorgeous. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics.
I think it says something about their mumma ( and pappa ) too. xo
pure blissful moments!
ReplyDeleteGlad your little one is feeling better x
That is lovely, siblings that get along, what a treat! Indi's tears almost have me crying
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat is so lovely. My big and smalls are like that too. It makes the heart happy. Thank you! I loved your post. X
ReplyDeleteMy big and little have a fantastic relationship too. The big is so caring and patient with the little.
ReplyDeleteThe liitle just absolutely idolises the big one.
I feel for the middle one as sometimes I see he feels out of the look. He tends to jump in and interupt causing the problems - maybe even numbers may have been easier. As I type little and middle are about to wrap racquets aroundeach other over a disagreement in a game of totem tennis, the big has gone out to resume the calm again :)
Those grawing are great too,I am going to put some chalk in the backpack right now!
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest!!
