I printed the tree way back here.
I used vintage sheets, thrifted bias binding and button and I crocheted the ric rac.
Miss Pepper is desperate to try the bloomers on, so I'm off to make her her own pair of fancy undy bundies, as she calls them.
I hope you have a great day. XX
So adorable & fun!!! Lucky babe.
ReplyDeleteOh. My. God.
ReplyDeletePromise me if we find out #2 is a girl I can buy something similar from you?!!!
PROMISE ME! ;)
They are just beautiful! I adore those bloomers, I tell you if I could get away with wearing those I would! I used to put cute boy ones on my boys when they were crawling & toddling around, they are just too cute. My mum used to make them & have them on me till i was about 5!! (this could explain my obsession...)
ReplyDeleteKate that's the sweetest little outfit - I love the crocheted ric-rac. So clever!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find such a treasure trove of awesome vintage sheets!!! I found a respectable one on the weekend -not even as nice as yours, and I litterally skipped out of the opp shop! (totally serious, my husband who was unimpressed about being dragged along in the first place was thoroughly humiliated.)Love your work!
ReplyDeleteI just love this!! Don't think my sewing skills would do it justice. Need to practice more..Love the tree too.
ReplyDeleteI am SOOOO impressed by the crocheted ricrac!

ReplyDeleteAdorable- the sheets look so feminine!
ReplyDeleteThey look gorgeous Kate..can see why your daughter has put an order in. They look so sweet, much pretier than today's plain old shop bought knickers.
ReplyDeleteyoure a legend, some girl baby is very lucky and everyone should have at least one pair of your fancy undie bundies, I reckon xx
ReplyDeleteOh Kate!! These are just soooo adorable!! It's making me all clucky!!! Funny though, I have been trying to find a pattern for an adult version of those sort of vintagey bloomers lately. (mmm, I hope that doesn't make me sound like a weirdo!!)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Kate, That will be some lucky baby. I wonder, do you stroll around crocheting ric rac in all your spare time? It is fabulous. (That was silly, where would you get spare time?)
ReplyDeleteAbsoloutely adorable. You are very talented and I think also a witch. I just received my pincushion and my partner lives in the same suburb where I grew up...in Adelaide. Believe me, people rarely know where it is. I was so excited, I thought somebody was playing a trick on me! It is uncanny. This means something...I just don't know what yet. (maybe to keep links with Adelaide, my mum died last year and my sister and I said there was no reason to go back?)I am like an old crone reading the tea leaves. Thank-you for organising this swap. xxNick

ReplyDeletePeople are psycho for your bloomers honey!! Woo hoo! "Fancy Undie Bundies" could be their official name, if they find their way into exclusive shops in Collins Street. Imagine grown up ones? Wow. Looking forward to hearing more about the new babe over coffee, maybe Friday? xo

ReplyDeleteWhat a clever girl you are...I have been following your blog for a while now and you just get better and better! My baby girl turned 21 this year but I made her things just like you are doing for your litle one! My friend and I visited Daylesford a few weeks ago, what a lovely place you have chosen to live.
