Printing on a rainy afternoon.

We had a crappy day yesterday. We ended up in hospital with Miss eight and an unidentified itchy, red, raw rash.

She's much better today but we are all a bit slow and fragile.

I've been dying to get back to some more printing but the girls were not overly inspired with their drawing or cutting stencils so I took over.

My drawing were certainly not as inspired as theirs, but once I'd cut them out they were happy to take over and squeegee.

As we were printing there was lots of chatter about a stall at the Daylesford Makers' Market, softies, pockets and patches. Don't you love that feeling of the more you make the more you want to make?

I hope you have a great week and get to see at least a little sunshine where ever you are.

  1. It's a hard choice, but I've decided I'd rather eat the cupcake than the apple. I can't work out what's that pointy thing in the bird's tummy. Could it be a garlic clove?
PS I hope you have a great week too. Including, and especially, the darling sick one. The forecast's for sunshine here on Monday and Tuesday. But let's wait and see. xxxxx

  7. I love all those screen printing images Kate. Are you going to be selling them as t-shirts at the market. I hope your little one feels much better soon and the rash goes away.

  8. Love your screen prints. You are inspiring me with every post. What do you do your stencils with?
They all look so great and how wonderful to get the kids involved in the printing process, I would have loved that as a kid.

  9. Hope your sweet girl is on the mend. The screen printing looks great. It brings back memories of lino cut printing (from my uni days)

  16. I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get set up? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I'm not very web smart so I'm not 100% positive.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Kudos
