(I think she's a bit over modelling them for me though!)
Some vintage floral sheets, a bit of elastic and I make the rest up as I go along.
Sometimes long, sometimes short, maybe a pocket, or a frill, or some twirly gathers. The mixy matchier the better I think.
Maybe one of these days I'll work out a way to scale the pattern up for sizes other than my three and write up a pattern. Maybe one day I'll make one for myself. Maybe one day I'll make up a few and pop them in my shop. Maybe.
I hope your Sunday is a funday.
Oh and my cushion cover auction ends tomorrow morning. You gotta be in it to win it you know!!
Bye now. XX
Oh Miss Pepper is just adorable modelling for you, even if she is over it for the time being! I love your sundresses, so pretty and bright! Hope your having a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe look on her face in that first photo is priceless! We get loads of compliments when Bloss wears her dress.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress, it's so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate! Havent been over in a while so its nice to pop in and see you!! I love the litle dresses, I think the patchier the better too :) Your auction item is beautiful!!! WE love Dr seuss too, though I admit I am getting sick of reading 'green eggs and ham' EVERY night LOL
ReplyDeletei would love to see one of these dresses on you. your auction is going so well. xo.
ReplyDeleteI love your little dresses!
ReplyDeleteI made myself some summer pj pants last year, out of a sheet identical to Miss Pepper's right sleeve (pink and green floral).
ReplyDeleteI keep spotting it on various dresses on your blog and thinking Ooh there's my pyjamas!
I am totally in love with these dresses ... they would look super cute on my Little Miss 2 yr old - off to check out what you have for sale in your shop at the moment.
ReplyDeletecute dress, even cuter model. nice one kate.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like the perfect EASY summer dress. I would love to buy a pattern once you've drafted one up :)
ReplyDeleteHannah is loving her Everything But the Threads Dress although we had to take the elastic out of the sleeves. I keep meaning to take some nice summery photos of her in it!
I also loved the red and white twine you wrapped the parcel in - brown paper packages tied up with string - sigh! Too delicious!
I'd say the people down the street would be quite well wishing they could have one each for themselves! I made my first dress this week from a vintage bed sheet & I love it! Very basic, but very pretty, I've worn it twice already..x
ReplyDeleteMake a few and put them in your shop!! Please!! x
ReplyDeleteThey are so fantastic Kate. Kx
ReplyDeletePure delight - model + dress :)
ReplyDelete:) maybe one day... Love it. Let me know I would be happy to test sew for you:) We had a fab weekend. Spending the time getting my munchkin ready to start prep. Also took them to the rail museum - will do a blog post tomorrow - need to sleep now, I become one of those parents tomorrow, trying to keep my inner teacher in check and behave myself:)
ReplyDeletelove, love , love these dresses - so jealous you got a chance to sew, I'm aching to get on my machine, it's been soooo long.
ReplyDeleteSUPER gorgeous dresses, you are so clever :D I really love the mixy-matchy prints, very sweet indeed.
ReplyDeleteI think you should definitely make some for your shop - they're very cheery and cute. It reminds me a bit of the Sound of Music, with the children all dressed in their curtain fabric 'play clothes'. So sweet and thrifty!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Kate!
ReplyDeleteI love ....that last photo, too cute :-)
