Purple Poppy Pot Holder.

Purple Poppy Pot Holder, try saying that really quickly three times in a row.

Last night before I went to the yarn drawer to choose some cotton to make another pot holder, I made the decision to choose the two colours that jumped out at me and to not spend ages trying to come up with the perfect combination. This purple and green potholder is the result of that experiment. When I sat down with my colours I had no idea what form it was to take, I just started going round and around until it was a flower.

It is quite a bold move away from the red and white but I think I like it.

Thanks so much for the apple pot holder love yesterday. To be honest I almost unravelled half of it before that post because it looked too big and red, but after reading all your lovely comments and adding a new colour into the mix, it is growing on me.

The challenge now is to find a wall to hang them on in a house where we seem to knock down any wall that is not load bearing. I have been wandering around the place vaguely suggesting that children's art work be removed from here or growing calenders from there but have so far only been offered an internal brown brick wall that will look waaaay too seventies covered in pot holders.

Have you entered my giveaway yet?

  1. Now purple and lime green seem to go well together dont they. Maybe you should have a little contest of people choosing some combos for you to crochet up and see how they turn out. I think it looks quite pretty. I am sure you can find a wall somewhere for them, maybe put the kids artwork on the brick wall instead, lol!

The purples really gives your display a zing. It really worked. I'm looking forward to seeing what other patterns you come up with.... unless you have now finished.

I do read every single comment you leave and appreciate it very much, but I should let you know that I can be a wee bit on the useless side when replying to comments, that's just me, everyday life sometimes gets in the way....so I'll apologise now, just in case.
